Genocide Response // Global Studies

Genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular nation, group or race. I think genocide happens because of argument, disagreement, hatred and jealousy. In Global Studies we watched a movie about what happened in the Rwanda Genocide. I learnt that it was sparked / started by the death of Rwanda President Juvenal Habyarimana, when his plane was shot down above the Kigali airport on the 6th of April, 1994. Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda. I believe to prevent future genocides happening over the world we need to make more laws and human rights. And also an appropriate way to punish those responsible.
