Hi everyone! I haven't uploaded a blog post in a while so I thought I would get to it. As you may know, Awahono School's annual pet day is coming up. This year I am taking my dog Tess to pet day. In our classroom our task was to write an explanation about pet day. Not sure what pet day is? Read my explanation below... Pet day is an annual event held at Awahono School, Grey Valley. It usually happens in early term 4 which is normally spring. This is because of the time of year and season. It happens then because it is a time when all the lambs, calves and any other animal you can think of that is born. Children from rooms 1, 2, 5 and 6 create a pet project (a creation that has a lot of information on their pet) based on the animal they are bringing. Even if they are unable to bring a pet they do a pet project based on an animal they have at home or an animal that they like. The pet projects are displayed in their classroom. Children can bring any animal they like, as long as it is tame, safe and not going to bite anyone or another animal. Every year a range of different animals attend pet day.
