Science Every week our classroom has been doing science experiments in which everyone is taking part in. We got to choose our science experiment and I chose to make a lava lamp. The list below is what you need to do to make this and what you need: What you need: Water A clear plastic bottle Vegetable oil Food colouring Alka-seltzer (or other tablets that fizz) Instructions: Pour water until around one quarter full (might want to use a funnel). Pour in vegetable oil until the bottle is nearly full. Wait until the oil and water has separated. Add around a dozen drop of food colouring to the bottle (any colour) Watch as the food colouring falls through the oil and mixes with the water. Cut a Alka-seltzer into smaller pieces (around six or five) drop one piece into the bottle, things should start happening now just like a real lava lamp. Keep adding more pieces in and enjoy the show! You need to keep adding more Alka-s...

Our Speeches
Not long ago we wrote speeches on our chosen topic. We learnt to: Write a speech Speak confidently in front of others Project our voice We had to say our speech in front of our whole school and some judges (teachers from our school). My speech was informing you why a dog for a pet is a brilliant choice. At the end 5 people were chosen and they had to say their speech in about a day later to different judges. Jenna and Jordy had great speeches and were chosen to go through to the Rotary Club Speeches. Well Done! :)
