MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

  Just last week, on Friday, Room 5 arrived back at school. Most of Room 5 seemed quite tired as they had travelled from Hanmer Springs to school. They had a awesome time and lots of them had said they had loads of fun!

In Room 6, we have been working on a play based on the story of the Lorax with Room 1. This is what we had to find out.....

I have been working on mathletics recently, here are some of my results:

Quite a long time ago we had Pets Day. I brought my rabbit Daisy. I won 2 nd place for the senior rabbit section and I got a award for outdoor activities for encouraging others. 

Recently I made it into West Coast Athletics. I made it into... High Jump Relays 60 metres sprint 100 metres sprint  I had a lot of fun at West Coast Athletics and my legs are still sore. 

Not long ago we wrote speeches on our chosen topic. We learnt to: Write a speech Speak confidently in front of others Project our voice We had to say our speech in front of our whole school and some judges (teachers from our school). My speech was informing you why a dog for a pet is a brilliant choice. At the end 5 people were chosen and they had to say their speech in about a day later to different judges. Jenna and Jordy had great speeches and were chosen to go through to the Rotary Club Speeches. Well Done! :)

Not long ago on a Friday, my class came back from our camp from Rotorua. I went on some pretty cool activities there and would love to do it all again! We made a diary for every thing we did. Here is mine...

THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ... Can Dorothy make it to Oz, the most powerful wizard? With the help of a Scarecrow who wants a brain, The Tin Man who wants a heart and the Lion who wants confidence and courage! Can they succeed or will Dorothy never make it back to Aunt Em in Kansas?

Hi! I don't know about you but I can't wait till next term! Reason: Pets Day! I am bringing my bunny Daisy. The animals people are bringing can include:  Cats Rabbits Birds Dogs Calves/cows Horses    

Today we came dressed up in the colours of our team we chose that is in the Rugby World Cup. I chose to wear black and white. We had to hand in a gold coin for mufti. Here is a picture of Mia. She is also supporting the All Blacks:

I have been doing Prototec at home now. And one time I got 100%!

Every morning we buddy read with room 1. My buddy is Fred. Today he read some harder books, and amazingly he read them perfectly! Room 6 has been supporting our buddies and helping them, which is great to see! A BIG well done to Fred! He has improved so much through out the year! And its GREAT!

Netball AND Basketball has finished for the year! NO! I won't have much to do in the weekends! Last Friday we had our last Basketball game, we won against Runanga B. Last Saturday I had my last Netball game! The score was close, I can't remember the team we were playing against. I look forward to playing both of these fun sports next year........
